Yoga Day at our school is a rejuvenating celebration dedicated to promoting physical well-being, mental clarity, and holistic health among students and staff. Held annually on June 21st, this special day begins with an invigorating morning assembly where students, teachers, and staff gather for a unified yoga session. The event features guided yoga practices led by Mrs Padmini Jog an experienced yoga instructor, encompassing a range of poses and breathing exercises suitable for all skill levels. A week-long celebration began with enlightening Pranayama session, mass yoga demonstration, yoga dance by secondary students and an awareness session on the benefits of yoga.
Various workshops and interactive sessions are offered, including mindfulness exercises, relaxation techniques, and discussions on the benefits of yoga for both body and mind. Students also participate in yoga activities such as creating their own calming yoga routines, learning about the history and philosophy of yoga, and engaging in group meditations. The school’s environment is transformed with calming music and visual aids, creating a serene atmosphere that enhances the experience.
Yoga Day concludes with a reflection session where students are encouraged to develop a sense of community and personal growth with yoga practice. By integrating yoga into the school day, Yoga Day not only promotes physical fitness and mental wellness but also encourages students to embrace mindfulness and stress management techniques that can benefit them both academically and personally.
